Rental Standards, Policies and Guidlelines

PLEASE READ CAREFULY!

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF GROUP LEADERS TO ENSURE ALL GUESTS
UNDERSTAND THESE STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES AND ABIDE BY THEM.

STANDARDS

 1. Smoking and presence/consumption of alcoholic beverages or illicit non-prescription drugs is not permitted on the property.
2. All guests must be consistent with the BCM International Doctrinal Statement while at this facility.
3. The highest standards of moral conduct are to be maintained.
4. Guests are to be in their assigned rooms from midnight until 6:00 AM. Guests are asked to be quiet during this time.
5. Males are not permitted in assigned female accommodations and females are not permitted in assigned male accommodations.
6. No cats, dogs or pets are allowed anywhere on the property. Please make arrangements for them to left at home or attended to elsewhere.
7. Good judgement is to be used when playing recorded music or performing live music as to loudness levels and style being played or performed. If you wish to use the piano or organ, please notify the host or hostess.
8. No chewing gum in any buildings.

POLICIES

1. Mill Stream has the right to refuse any booking without giving cause.
2. A non-refundable deposit must be returned with the contract to secure the booking date. This deposit will be deducted from the final amount due.
3. Payment in full is due prior to or immediately upon completion of this contract period.
4. The use of the facilities shall be limited to those approved in this application.
5. The retreat centre staff member on duty shall at all times be in charge of the premises, and his/her instructions must be followed.
6. Guests are responsible to bring their own bedding, towels and hygiene products.
7. The cost of repair for damage done to any part of the retreat centre property or premises by any person attending the function that is not considered normal wear, will be added to your invoice.
8. Off summer-season Rentals are subject to a minimum of 20 paying persons.
9. All Rental Camp/Retreat staff and leaders are subject to the same rates as guests.
10. All Rental Camp/Retreat groups must provide with the deposit, a copy of their “General Liability Certificate of Insurance” policy for their group/church/organizations by the means of a photocopy or facsimile. These copies must indicate the coverage and limits for Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Abuse and Third Party Medical Expenses.
11. Under normal circumstances there is no charge for infants and children 5 years and under if the facility is notified in advance. Certain conditions may apply.

Any of these terms and conditions will entitle Mill Stream to terminate irrevocably the said party’s use of Mill Stream’s facilities and premises without any refund.
GUIDELINES
Please consider the following guidelines to help us maintain
a high standard of safety, cleanliness and courtesy.

1. Audiltorium
 · Available hours of usage are 7:00am to 11pm. Showers are available during this period of time.
· The use of the Audiltorium requires adult leader supervision.
· Only clean, non-marking shoes are to worn during activities in the Audiltorium, “socks only” is acceptable.
· No food or beverages are allowed in the Audiltorium.
· No indoor soccer allowed.
 2. Dining Room/Kitchen
 · All meals and snacks are served in the Dining Room. All meals are portioned buffet style.
· Children should remain at the table with parents until your family has finished eating.
· Meal times are as follows:
Breakfast 8:30 AM Lunch 12:30 PM Supper 5:30 PM Evening Snack 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM
· Dietary restrictions will be accommodated within our means. 10 days prior notification is required.
· The Kitchen is off-limits at all times.
· The Dining Room is closed except for mealtime or during any pre-arranged activity use.
 3. Accommodations
 · Keep rooms clean and neat at all times.
· Keep all snacks and drinks in the designated eating areas or outside of sleeping areas.
· Hang up or put away all clothes, shoes, etc. Do not place or hang wet towels, wash clothes or clothes on furniture.
· Turn off lights, fans and other electrical equipment when leaving a room.
· Do not re-arrange furniture.
 4. Bathrooms
· Be sure to cleanup after each use – do not leave shower or sink dirty. Use a paper towel to wipe excess water from countertops.
· If you are sharing bathroom facilities with others, schedule use to be mutually satisfactory.
 5. Nelson Lodge
 · Please help maintain the public areas of the lodge including washrooms and showers.
· Only clean indoor shoes are to be worn upstairs in the lounge area.
· No physical games to be played or roughhousing is allowed inside. 6. Telephone
 · All calls are to be made from the public pay phone located inside the north entrance of the Nelson Lodge.
· Only emergency or event related calls are to be received on the camp phone.
 7. Equipment
· Do not enter or use office equipment, overhead projectors, etc. unless pre-arrangements have been approved.
· Do not allow children to use chalkboards or play the piano or organ.
· Do not jump on furniture.
· Report any breakage to leaders and host /hostess immediately.
 8. Tuck Shop/Games Room
 · The games room is available from 7 Am to 11PM. This room is also used as a small meeting area/prayer room.
· The tuck shop will be opened upon the request of the group leader.
 9. Grounds
 · Park cars in gravel parking areas.
· DO NOT drive over grass or park on septic bed areas – if unsure ask the host /hostess.
· Help keep the grounds clean – pick up all litter.
· Return all athletic equipment to the sports shed when finished.
· The bridge and dam areas are on private property - do not enter these areas.
